# How to Create & Edit Products in Garnet

**Overview**
Adding and updating your inventory in the Garnet Vendor Portal ensures your products display accurately across the marketplace POS terminals and e-commerce channels.
### Adding a New Product

1. Log into your **Garnet Vendor Portal** and navigate to **Products** in the side navigation menu.
2. Click **Add Product** (or **New Product**).
3. Fill in all required product fields:
   * **Title & Description:** Provide a clear title and detailed description. Avoid including external links in product descriptions.
   * **Pricing:** Enter your full retail price before any discounts.
   * **Inventory & Stock Origins:** Input your available quantity and tag the correct stock location (e.g., *In-Store Retail Shelf* vs. *Vendor Home Studio*).
   * **Product Dimensions & Weight:** Add exact shipping dimensions and weight for accurate fulfillment calculations.
   * **Tags & Custom Fields:** Fill out any required business fields or attributes requested by store management.
4. Click **Save**.

> **Product Approval Note:** Depending on store settings, newly created products may require automated or manual store manager approval before appearing on the live store POS or e-commerce storefront.

### Editing Existing Products
* Go to **Products**, click on the item you wish to update, adjust the fields, and click **Save**.
* Any manual retail price adjustments or discount codes you create must be managed directly in Garnet. Marketplace commission splits are calculated based on the original retail price prior to vendor-initiated markdowns.
