# Understanding Your Membership Tier & Sales Commissions

**Overview**
Create Marketplace operates on a tiered subscription model paired with transparent commission structures, allowing vendors to scale their physical and digital retail presence.
#### Billing Cycles & Renewal Options

* **Billing Intervals:** Subscriptions automatically renew on the **1st calendar day of each month** via credit card or ACH debit through Stripe Connect. Available plans include Month-to-Month, 3-Month, 6-Month, and 12-Month terms.
* **Holiday Commitment (Oct 1 – Jan 15):** All vendors active as of October 1 commit to maintaining an active subscription tier through January 15 to ensure consistent store inventory during peak Q4 customer foot traffic.
#### Commission Splits & Markdowns

* **Vendor-Initiated Discounts:** When you run custom sales or issue discount codes in Garnet, marketplace commissions are calculated based on the full, pre-discount retail price.
* **Store-Sponsored Promotions:** For sales sponsored and absorbed by Create Marketplace, vendor payouts are calculated based on the full retail price without any payout reduction.
#### Automatic High-Volume Performance Commissions

In addition to your tier's base commission, high-volume sales thresholds incur additional performance commissions calculated automatically at the end of each calendar month:
* **$2,500.00 – $4,999.99:** An additional **1.5% performance commission** applies strictly to gross sales within this bracket.
* **$5,000.00+:** An additional **2.5% performance commission** applies strictly to gross sales exceeding $5,000.00.
